Where is The Haunting of Hexwood located?
The Haunting of Hexwood is located in a film lot town at 3800 Sideline 32 in Pickering, ON., L0H 1J0. The event is a fully outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather! Is this is a real film studio? Yes, WFW Backlot & Studios is a real film studio and Canada's largest film backlot built as a 23-acre, modern day small town that is situated on a 90-acre plot of land and has been featured in a number of Movies & TV series including Reacher and The Umbrella Academy. What happens if there is inclement weather? We will be open rain or shine. Haunts and vendors will be outdoors. If the weather calls for dangerous and unsafe conditions, we may be required to shut down and you can reschedule to another date. Please monitor our social media or your emails for any updates. Is the event accessible? The event is partly accessible in the town. Please note that shuttle buses are not accessible and the rough terrain path from the parking lot to the venue entrance is not entirely accessible for wheelchairs. Please ask parking lot attendant staff for assistance if you need to drop off a patron in a wheelchair directly at the event entrance. Is there parking onsite? On-site parking is free but limited. To secure a parking spot at the event, purchase a ticket that includes on-site parking. There are a limited number of tickets with parking available each day. Do you offer shuttle bus service to and from the event? If you will be transiting or tickets with parking are sold out for your preferred date, a shuttle bus will be available to/from Mount Joy GO Station. You can park your vehicle at the Station and take our quick 10 min shuttle to the event. Shuttle buses will be picking up passengers between 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM (approximately every 30 mins). Mount Joy GO station is located at 1801 Bur Oak Ave in Markham. How do I get to the event without a vehicle? You can take public transit to Mount Joy GO Station and hop on one of our shuttle buses that will be taking guests to and from the GO Station to the event venue between the hours of 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM. Please note that you must purchase your admission ticket(s) that include the shuttle bus option in order to use this service. Are there food/drinks being sold? Food trucks and vendors will be on site. Alcohol will be sold at the Town Square Bar! Is there a max time limit at the event? The 4 main haunts can only be entered once, however, you can explore the town and attractions at your leisure. |

- NO large bags allowed - small bags will be searched - NO vaping or smoking anywhere at the event - NO re-entry will be permitted - NO touching the actors Are there washrooms? Yes, there are portable washrooms onsite. Can we take photos or videos? Photos and videos are permitted throughout the town but not inside of the haunts. Make sure to tag @thehauntingofhexwood Is the event appropriate for kids? The event is recommended for ages 12+. It may not be appropriate for kids due to very scary scenes/haunts. Parental supervision and discretion are strongly advised. How do I get my tickets once they are purchased? Upon completing your purchase, your tickets will be emailed to you. Please check your spam/junk folder. Tickets can be shown on your phone at the entrance or printed. I have lost my ticket, what do I do? Not to worry! When you reach the event, please let us know your name at the entrance and we can look you up! Need to reschedule your ticket? Please email info@hauntingofhexwood.ca for assistance! Please note we may require 24 hours notice to accommodate your request. You are allowed one reschedule per order! Are tickets refundable? As per our Terms and Conditions, there are no refunds. You are permitted one date re-schedule if you email us in a timely manner with sufficient notice. All sales are full and final. Can I wear a costume? We welcome costumes, but do not allow full-face masks or make up or props of any kind! Part of the haunt is in a corn field, appropriate footwear is recommended. Are pets allowed? Unfortunately, this is not a pet-friendly event. Are there strobing lights? Persons with epilepsy who are photosensitive should be aware that strobing lights and fog are used at the event. Is this event safe for pregnant/people with medical issues? We do not recommend that people with asthma, heart issues, or are pregnant attend. Please consult with your healthcare provider. |
